Ford: 2000 V6 Mustang vibration, wheel bearings, drive shaft

Question
I have a vibration throughout the car which can be felt in the seats, consoul etc. I felt it before I put new tires and rims on the car and it is still there. The vibration is not felt necessarily in the steering wheel and the car tracks straight. The old tires did not indicate a problem with alignment as tire wear was even. The suspension is stiff as per any mustang and the vibration although not too strong it is relatively constant and felt in the vertical such as up and down and doesn't necessarily incresase with speed. The vibration is also felt lateraly if I hit a bump. You can feel the car vibrate sightly from side to side but is most noticeable up and down. The shocks are not soft. The car is driven only occassionaly and averages approximately 11K per year. I'm thinking that maybe it could be worn or dried out U joints or possible eninge or transmission (automatic) mounts? Has any one encountered a similar vibration. As I mentioned it isn't that bad but it is annoying.

i would check the u joints. they go quite often in the mustangs.jack the car up in the rear with both wheels off the ground.go under the car and see if you have play in the u joint, if you do change them.some other thins you can check the drive shaft for dents.a bent rim or bad rotor and bad wheel bearings will cause this. hope this helps.
