Ford: 1995 5.8L Starter/Electrical, starter solenoid, auto part store

Question
I have a 1995 F250 with a 5.8 Liter in it.  It recently quit starting.  The first symptoms were a clicking when you would try to start it, now, it acts like the battery is comletely dead.  Last night, I got it jump started, and then it appeared that the alternator was functioning correctly (the headlights worked fine, and the dash volt gauge indicated a charge).  I put the battery on a charger all night last night.  This morning, the headlights seemed to be at full power off of the battery, but when I turned the ignition switch to "ON", the dash lights dimmed, and it behaved like the battery was DEAD.  Where do you suggest I start? Battery, Alternator, Solenoid, Ignition switch?

Answer
Trevor  the starter is drawing to much amps. or the starter solenoid is shorted .go, to your auto part store and have them do a starter draw test if you can. if not then while someone trys to crank have someone hit the starter. if it starts then replace the starter.
