Ford: 1994 Ford F-150 Truck, ford f 150, f 150 truck

Question
Not sure how or why this happened but I can't get the selector all the way up or into the Park position, All the selections are off by one position, (reverse=neutral ect.)After blocking the truck in, I crawled under the truck and looked but it doesn't seem to have any adjustment? Do you have any ideas on what it could be, And is this something I could fix

Answer
hey don,

sorry about the mishap there.  i accidentally hit the wrong selection.  i also need to appologize for the lateness of this response.  with all the winter storms up here in Nova Scotia, my internet hasn't been working much lately.

anyways, i am surprised to hear about your problem.  however, i have actually seen this happen before.  the guy who needed it fixed took it to me and asked me what was going on.  this wasn't a ford, it was an '89 chevy.  i went through the details with him.  basically, some collision or force against the whole transmission, including all the plates, caused it to jam one position out of place.  honestly, you won't be able to do this yourself, unless you are a mechanic. take it in and get it done right.  as well, ask the mechanic if you need a new transmission range sensor.  sometimes, they collect a lot of water and get old.  seems to me that yours may be close.  anyways i hope i helped you here don, and i'm truly very sorry about what happened.  bye for now.
