Ford: 2000 Explorer wont start, mechanic check, windows radio

Question
have a 2000 ford explorer and it will only start after the remote is used to unlock the doors
if you do not use the remote all electrical works, windows-radio-lights ect. but will not start
I have disconected the battery and let sit for 20 min. & that did not fix. What do you suggest?
Thanks

Answer
well steve,

i'm not exactly the best person to ask this since the only electronic system in a car that i am very knowledgable about is the ignition system.  and i can say with confidence that your ignition system is probably just fine.  it seems all the components are working correctly.  however, you may have some wiring crossed, or a small circuit problem.  i would have a mechanic check to see that there is a complete circuit present in the automatic locks.  i'm very sorry if this doesn't help you.  i am not the most knowledgable person when it comes to electronics.  hope i helped you anyways.
