hi ragu. plz can you help me with this brakw warning light that appears to come on when the pedal is pressed only faint then goes i have had the discs and pads all changed and have no sensors i have checked the handbrake lever and sensor it is ok then i checked the fliud altho it was full there was evedence of the top being wet would this be that the seal is worn and would replacing it be the problem as it connects to a sensor i have ordered one anyway as it may be better to get one at this time its a ford galaxy 2.0l petrol with abs also am i correct in saying that the only components connected to this light is the discs pads with sensors handbrake and the fluid many thanks for your time plz help me if you can shed some light on this thanks jason

jason what i want you to do is under your master cyl were you put your fluid you will see a sensor make sure it is plug in if not then plug it in if it is then unplug it turn the key off then on and see if the light goes out if it dose then the sensor is no good . go to toyr nearest auto zone and have them pull the codes let me know what there are.
hi cant see the sensor anywhere apart from the one on top and i have changed that today but its still the same the light comes on only when i brake very strange and cant think of anything else to check thanks jason

follow the brake lines down from the master cyl theylead you to the combo valve there should be a conector if you can't find it let me know and i'll send you a locator
hello ragu, ok i asked the ford dealer for a price on the switch you mentioned and he said there wasnt one on my car according th the diagrammme that they have so i tols him the problem and he reacons it is the brake switch on the pedal that is common fault with the galaxy and have had sold alot of them ok so suppose i get a new one and its still there what next this is so frustrating and dont know where to go from here apart from paying a fortune to them to put on their machine to find it however what would you suggest as you have been real good to me and i thank you for the time and effort in helping me and any further information would be great thanks jason

Jason let me ask you this is the brake light on and the abs light on or just the brake light?
hi ragu, ok its the brake light ! like this) is the one that only flickers when i apply the brakes its not there all the time but enough to get your attension as i have said it happened before i changed the brake discs and pads and there are no sensoers on either, the brake fluid is on the max and the top has been changed, so plz can you throw anymore of your expertise with this thanks again ragu jason also mate is there anyway possible i can contact you via another email or contact number if at all possible as once you have enough questions you are maxed out thanks again plz can you get back to me as soon as you can
Answere mail add is andiamo302@bellsouth.net trying to get info from ford on this it seams they are having a problem with this and suggest that you first do a complete brake flush. why I don't know but there saying it is fixing most flickering problems I think it may be a loose connector or a corroded one but do this first and let me know and they said make sure you use DOT 4 brake fluid. let me know
