Ford: Intermitent electrical problems - 92 Sable, columm, relay control

Question
Hi Ragu:

I have been trying to track down this problem for several months.  At times my 92 Sable won't start, though it will always turn over.  At times as well, it will die when I am driving it (though this is usually immediately after starting it).

I know when it won't start when I hear a loud buzzing in the driver's side door - it seems that if I play with the key position, this buzzing stops and then the car starts.

There are times when I can go for weeks without any problems - then there are times when it is a problem each time I drive it.

I have had the car checked out on the computer - no codes come up - I have replaced the integrated relay control module - connections were checked for corrosion / splaying - the alternator was tested - a couple of months ago, the starter went out and that was replaced.

When there is a problem, something is buzzing in the driver's side door - might there be some type of short with the electric windows / locks mechanism?  (though I pulled that fuse and it didn't seem to matter).

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated!

Answer
what i would do is ck the ing switch ele part we had a lot of problems with them .you have to remove the  cover that goes around the steering wheel columm .if you look under the columm you will see a white switch  and look at it to see if it looks like it is comming apart. or burnt let me know.    good luck
