GM-GMC: firing order and distributor firing order, spark plug wires, firing order

Question
I just replaced the spark plug wires and the truck seems to be missing.  I want to be sure I replaced the wires properly please give me the firing order and distributor firing order for a 1996 vortec 7.4 Chev 3500 4X4.  The distributor is a litte different than the older models.

Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Cylinders are numbered as follows. All referrences are from the driver's seat. Left bank of cylinders, numbered front to rear 1-3-5-7. Right bank of cylinders, numbered front to rear 2-4-6-8.  The #1 cylinder should be marked on your distributor cap, the rotation is clockwise.
