GM-GMC: 1984 6.2 will not start, gmc pickup, fuel tank

Question
I have a 1984 GMC pickup that will not start and if the truck will start it will only run for about 15 min. I am running off a fuel tank that was put in the bed of the truck.we would take off the return line and blow it out and then it would run for a short time.
We think the return line is the problem. Can you help us with this problem.

Return line sound like your problem .

Possibly a piece of debris or even an internal collasped line , Where the exterior of the hose looks fine , although the interior liner of the hose collapes. I have seen this a few times .
