GM-GMC: squeel noise after belt change, engine grease, better business bureau

Question
I have a 96 Suberban.  Squeeling noise under the hood started after Speedee Oil change the supertine belt, changed the motor oil, and added power stirring fluid.  They said the belt adjusts automatically and the noise is not coming from the belt.  They said it is possible the noise is coming from the airconditioning since the noise only starts when the airconditioning is turned on. Could this be right?  The noise did not start untill after Speedee worked on the car.  All they offered to do is to add engine grease on the belt, and the car is still making squeeling noises.  What do you advise?

Answer
If the squealing did not start until the lube shop worked on your vehicle, then you need to make them fix it.

They may have installed an incorrect belt, or they may have damaged one of the belt-driven accesories while working on your vehicle.

If they won't fix it, try complaining to your local Better Business Bureau, your state's consumer protection division, and/or small claims court.
