GM-GMC: Loud pop or clunk when turning., cv joints, pitman arm

Question
I own a 1994 GMC Yukon 4W drive 5.7L.  When I turn my steering wheel left or right while driving I can hear and feel this loud pop or clunk in the steering.  It will also do this while backing out of the driveway.  The sharper the turn the worse it gets.  The idler arm and pitman arm were replaced in April of 2003.  My husband replaced the tie rods in 2001.  Replaced all ball joints and driver side half axle in June of 2004.  Can you tell me what to do from here.

Answer
this i can tell you that it is probably the power steering going out or the shaft itself.

Steering is usually inexpensive to fix.

The power steering pump may be going out causing it to stick which in turn creates the noise.

I would also check the CV joints to make sure there are no tears in the boots.
