GM-GMC: hesitsation, chevy custom, carter carb

Question
hey, I have a 82 chevy custom deluxe stepside. It has a small block 350 and a 4 barrol carter carb. and for the past 2 to 3 months I've been having the same problem coming back to me. Whenever I take off too fast or go up a hill my engine will hesitate and really slow my truck down. its soundes and feels like either theirs not enough gas getting to the carborator or the plugs are bad and causing a missfire. Latley my truck has been hesitating even accelerating down a slight hill. It first started when the diaphram one the original fuel pump broke. then I replaced it and it ran fine for about a week or two then it started up again and right now I am on my fourth fuel pump whitch I just put in on last wednesday       and its alreadly starting to act up again and I have no clue what to do anymore.thank you for your time I hope to hear from you soon.
