GM-GMC: REMOVE / REPLACE WIPER MOTOR 92 GMC, gmc sierra, autohelp

My 92 GMC sierra has had a problem with wipers not always working. Now they have stopped all together. You can hear them trying and when you wiggle connection they will swipe and quit. How hard is it to replace motor? Or do you think it may be something else? Thanks Mike

Replacing the wiper motor is NOT very difficult. Anyone with AVERAGE mechanical knowledge can do this job.

When you go to purchase the wiper motor, the ELECTRICAL CONTROL BOARD does NOT usually come with the motor and must be purchased seperately.

If their is NO excessive core charge on your old motor, I would like to have your old one as my Dad (autohelp) is teaching me how to rebuild them.
