Answer
Hate to tell you this but.....this may be a bad idea, your 99 s10 uses a Power control module(PCM) Transmition control module(TCM) Body control Module(BCM) and various other modules to control the engine, tranny and accessories. you will definetly have a "check Engine light that will never go out, and you may have problems with any accessories like A/C power door locks, windows, powers seats, etc.....All the modules comunicate constantly with each other on a serial data line and there will be problems if one is missing from the "Loop" Its a cool swap to try but an older S10 may be a better start unless you are willing to get into heavy elecrical diagnostics and repairs.
