QUESTION: how do i do a valve adjustment

Answer
I'd advise you to have a technician that has performed valve adjustment give you some help with this but here is the procedure. Starting off with an overnight cold engine, Remove the valve cover and rotate the engine to top dead center for the #1 cylinder. Check the clearance between the rocker arm tappet and the tip of each valve using a feeler gauge. Adjust the clearance to spec with the adjuster in each rocker arm. Adjust the intake and exhaust on this cylinder and then move on to the next cylinder. Rotate to the engine to top dead center cylinder number 3 and adjust the valve clearance for that cylinder. Rotate to #4 cylinder and repeat....rotate to cylinder #2 and repeat.
