Honda: starter issues, Honda, hydro static lock

Question
Dear Mr.Meyer i own a 1996 honda accord ex, and a couple of days ago it was driven into low lyeing water about 2 feet high. now the car does not want to start. the battery is good and i had the starter checked out and it is good also. there was a little bit of water sucked into the throttle body. what can i do to get the car started? is there a fuse that might have blown?

Answer
It sounds like the water that entered the intake manifold hydro static locked the engine. Water won't compress like the fuel to air mixture. This can cause the engine connecting rod to bend and lock up the engine. I recommend having a technician inspect the cylinders with a bore scope.
