Honda: Honda Accord Lx 5 Speed, Honda, No start

Question
91 Honda Accord Lx 5 Speed will intermittently not start, will turn over, just not catch. Let it sit for a day, starts on first try.  Speedometer drops to 0 while driving, cruise no longer works.  Fuel pump OK, Fuel filter OK, Any Ideas?

Answer
Two things that are the most common on your car are the PGM-FI main relay and the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The fact that the car stalls while it's driving would lead me to believe you have an ignition switch failure. Are you positive the car is getting fuel during the no start condition? Have you had a fuel pressure gauge on the car during the no start condition? If the PGM-FI main relay is failing the check engine light will tend to be erratic. Listen closely when the key is rotated. As the check engine light comes on , you should hear a "click",  then two seconds later another "click" as the check engine light goes off. If the second "click" is not present, you are not getting fuel pressure and you need a new PGM-FI main relay.
