Mercedes: Wipers wont work, safety circuits, safety precaution

Question
Hi my name is Mike and I have 2006 C280, my wipers were working fine on tuesday of this week but then all sudden it stop working on wednesday nite when it rained.  I checked all the fuses to see it went bad but no fuse's were blown. I've also check to see if there was a possible relay problem but it seems that my highbeam and turn signal still work fine. On the stalk everything works excepts when I try to turn on my wipers. Just when my luck was starting to turn around something always happens.

Thank you for taking the time to Read this.

Mike

Answer
Mike,
Check the hood alignment and wiper lockout switch. As a safety precaution, the wipers are interrupted if the hood is opened to avoid pinching hands on the wipers.
If the safety circuits are OK, I would also trouble shoot the motor singularly.
Find the wire coming from the wiper motor and apply twelve volts from the battery to see if the motor is turning. Be sure to observe polarity of the wiper motor.
God Luck
