Mercedes: Key!!!, steering wheel lock, lock smith

Hi rob,I have C180, 2001, petrol, with electronic key, the prblem is the key its not turning, i have to try putting the key in and out for several times to make it turn. i don't know if its key problem(openning doors its ok) or ignition itself. please let me know if there is any suggestions. thanks

If you are speaking of inserting it in the ignition and it will not turn, try moving the steering wheel one way then another while trying to turn the key. The Steering wheel lock sometimes keeps the ignition from being activated.
If this does not work, I think a call to a dealer is in order, or to an auto lock smith. Either way if the ignition lock requires replacing, you are looking at a $$$$ operation.
