Mercedes 190E, 2.6 , 160hp,automatic 1991
Having problems with a 190 2.6 1991 automatic.
It runs wonderfully, some times for more than a month, and then suddenly while driving it stalls completly.
The first tries to re start are useless.
When left alone for 20/30 minutes after this problem occurs, it always will start up.

PLS HELP !

Do you see a connection with the fuel quantity and this problem? Seems to me there is a problem in the fuel delivery system. I would suspect the fuel pump or fuel pump relay.
I think the pump may be in the fuel tank or have a pickup pump in the tank with an external fuel boost pump. If you have a near empty tank, the pump may not be getting the cooling it requires while being submerged in fuel.
The pump may be getting hot and shutting down. Once it cool off it will run again.
