Question
hi, on a c220 1995 model the blower fan is not working properly all the time. if i open the hood and close it back again than it's start to work normally. there is wires loose probably somewhere.... i'm a car technician for honda but it's a mercedes...lololol  if u can help me??  thank you very much!!!!

Answer
danny,
Sorry for the delayed response, I have been in training. Is this a case of gentle closure of the hood or slamming it shut.
In any case, I would check the fuse box for the fuse that supplies the cooling fans.
Corroded fuses are a real problem. If the slug fuse uses aluminum strip on a ceramic sore, it is ofter oxide between the aluminum and the copper holder that can cause problems.
The fuse diagram is usually inside the lid.
I one of the fuses shows corrosion, you may want to purchase all new copper base fuses.
Other wise you can take some 400 grit wet dry sandpaper and polish the fuse ends. You should also use some Scott brite pads on the copper fuse clips.
After cleaning the fuse you still have a problem. it may be loose wire from the fan motors to the connector plug. Separate it and clean the ends. The vehicle also has a fan control thermostat, it may have gone bad.
Start and warm up the engine the engine and turn the AC on full blast. If I am not mistaken, the fans should operate full time while the AC is on.
Good Luck! Let us know how you do.
