Mercedes: transmission leak on 1985 500SL, transmission leaks, pan gasket

My transmission leaks a bit.  Can some leaks be fixed without overhauling?  Shifts fine, just want to fix leak.  Any suggestions?

I presume you mean a 1985 500SEL.
YES.
Any of these are DIY repair, and more can be done.

#1. Vacuum modulator O ring = order extra O rings, hard to align perfect and they cut easy.
#2. Output shaft seal = heavy DIY.
#3. Transmission pan gasket = simple but messy.
#4. Dip stick tube grommet/seal = simple but messy.
#5. Dipstick Seal.

This one requires transmission removal = very heavy DIY:
#6. Torque converter seal.

I do "NOT" recommend any aftermarket quick fix fluid, unless you are junking the car in a month.
