The most expensive car?  Well, that would be either a Bugatti Veyron.  Its got a pretty hefty price tag at over a Million dollars.  The McLaren is also over a million dollars.  
For the average car, the most expensive brand would be Bentley.  They are all out of Europe.


For $2500, believe it or not, you can get a pretty nice car.  Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Accord, or Prelude, Nissan Sentra or Maxima. Mitsubishi Eclipse or Galant, Volkswagon Jetta or Golf.  Between all of these it is just personal taste.  Browse through the classifieds.  Look for one with the lowest mileage you can find.  Also ask if they have the vehicle's records.  These will show you how the vehicle was maintained by the previous owner(s) and if it was well kept.  You'll get the most for your money by going for a Honda.
