My car nuetral light and drive light is on at the same time what could be the problem.

Likely the neutral safety, manual lever position sensor, inhibitor switch, PRNDL switch or a host of other names for the same part. I gave you all these because different parts places call them different things, but it is just one part, mounted on the transmission, it send a signal to the computer telling the computer which gear you want.
