Oldsmobile/Buick: after market products, tornado fuel saver, jc whitney catalog

Dear Ray,
This is a general question. there is something called the Tornado fuel saver that is suppose to create some sort of vortex swirl of air to increase mileage and performance. do you know about it? what is your take on these after market add-ons?  hype or is there something to this?
i have a 1990 olds and am wondering if this might increase the hp and mpg.

See you have been looking at a JC Whitney catalog! I've never used one, but there are many claims about this product. The idea of the tornado effect does work in theory. My only question is this piece has no moving parts, (like a tornado) just a metal thingy with a swirl design. I won't slam the product, but I won't reccommend it either. Unless it's forcing air into the motor via a turbo or supercharger I don't see how it could add power. Then again, they may have tested it and found an increase. Maybe so small you'd really never know it! Ray
