Pontiac: Water on the floor, coolant system, engine coolant

Question
I know this is a common question, i have a 96 Grand Am 2.4, would all the water on the floor be from a bad heater core or a bad evaporator core, all coolant was lost inside the car over days, i did not realize this until i drove the car one day and it became warmer than usually, it took about one week to leak out. I am not sure because I am not sure if the Evaporator core is connected to the coolant system on the car?

Answer
If you have engine coolant (anti-freeze) on the floor this would be a heater core leaking.

If you have plain WATER on the floor this is usually caused by a plugged up drain tube located under the vehicle attached to the bottom of the evaporator black plastic casing.

To UNCLOG it, Simply use a plastic soda straw or something VERY FLEXIBLE as if you try and unclog it with a screw driver or solid object you can punch a hole in the bottom of the aluminum evaporator.
