drove car turn it off,went to start it and the key will not turn. How do i replace the ignition switch. I've already have the console off. Need help please.

  It is likely a problem with the reverse lockout lever. If so, you need not replace the switch...just disassemble the gearshift housing taking the bottom cover off. (You'll need to fashion a three-pronged tool to get the triangular security nuts off...a file and a cheap 7/16 socket is a good place to start) Once the bottom cover is off, you'll see the lever..it normally has a return hairspring which probably broke and is the cause of the problem. I suggest removing the lever entirely by driving the pivot stud out..you lose a bit of reverse lockout security,not serious.
  If its not the lever problem, then you'll need to remove the lock cylinder; I would recommend going to a locksmith for that. There is, however, a spring loaded side "button" that if depressed, can release the cylinder from its housing.
