Saab: 93 900 S 2.1, crankshaft sensor, barbie line

Question
Jerry,

I know 82, but I have a 93 900 s 2.1  No spark . Battery was gone, replaced, car started for 20 mins.  Fuel pump relay replace, so fuel is working. . Replaced ingnition  amp, distributor, rotor and coil.

1)  I am not sure what wires go to positive  Green and white, with black on neg? or blue positive, with green and white, plus black on neg?

2)  No spark from coil.   again, replaced  coil.

firing order. I believe the Bently manual is backwards, but makes no difference with no spark from coil  1-3-4-2 but where is 1?

3) can the alarm system ( saab ) turn off  spark? if so, can he alarm be disabled? get alot of different answer on the alarm question.

last, would bad crankshaft sensor cause no spark?    I am not sure I have the coil wires right. I am not sure I have the distrib order right position.  but it has to be the alarm, or the coil wires.  Not much left.   The fuel pump relay was bad, am now getting fuel. pulled out plug and held to engine blcok. No spark from main coil wire. I cannot afford to take it to the shop.

Answer
Barbie:
Line 1): Which component's wire colors are you referring to?  Coil? distributor? elec. module?
         If its the coil, then green/white = term 15 = (+); Blue = term 1 = (-)Black = gnd.

Line 2): Firing order:  No. 1 is position closest to the rear (firewall) of the engine.

Line 3): Yes, a bad crankshaft sensor would cause a no-spark condition...it is statistically the most likely cause. Also, I do NOT believe the alarm system is interconnected with the ignition system, but not absolutely certain.
