Saab: location of a fuel pump relay for an 89 saab 900, Saab fuel pump circuitry

Question
last week my saab shut off while driving. I couldn't get it started an had to have it towed home. I checked the ignition system and found it to be working ok (I sprayed some starting fluid in the air intake and it wanted to start up). I then checked the fuel system, changing the fuel filter which was long overdue, then found there to be no fuel pumping through the system. The fuel pump seems to work but is not getting any electricity. I'm thinking or hoping the problem might be with the fuel pump relay. My problem now is trying to locate where this is on the car. I have an 89 saab 900 16v and would appreciate any help in finding this or in possibly coming up with a solution to my problem. Thanks

Answer
Pete:
The fuel pump relay is located behind the carpeted outer wall of the passenger footwell. If you go back to a response I made a few months ago, you will find extensive details on this subject, including simple ways to pin down the source of the problem. If you cannot locate those responses, you may get back to me for assistance.

  Hope this helps,
