What will happen to the price of used Saabs if Saab goes under?

 An interesting and thoughtful question upon which I pondered a bit and speculate the following:

  Recalling other vehicles that have gone out of production, it seems that those that were of the "sporty" or "unique" type models gained in value over the years as collectors items, whereas the run-of-the mill models languished relatively. But then, after many years (>25), all models of the discontinued manufacturer gained as well. So, in the short term,as a practical user, I would say the used car prices will probably lose relatively, but if you have a vehicle in really good shape, and the patience to keep it for a long while as a collector's item, it would be a good investment.
