Question
My saab clutch broke about 6 months ago, i just recently got it replaced by a mechanic, he called me today to tell me the clutch was put in and working but... the car doesnt start now. the mechanic is stumped and so am i, are there any know problem's that saabs have after sitting for along time (again about 6 months with out being started). any feedback will help.

Answer
Oliver:
No,, I do NOT know of any particular reason why your SAAB should not start after sitting awhile. But, in general, the most likely reason is likely to be electrical, i. e., a corroded or otherwise bad connection. The fuel pump circuit is the first candidate. Then the ignition area would be next in order of likelihood.. Your mechanic ought to be able to isolate whether the problem is lack of fuel or lack of spark. From then on its logical diagnosis.

Hope this helps.
