Question
I have a 2001 Toyota Celica GT, and I heard from the grapevine that, when you put on aftermarket parts, its a good idea to let your ECU reboot so that it programs its fuel curve and what not with the performance parts now incorperated with it. Is this True? and instead of pulling the fuse, couldn't I just take off the positive wire to the battery, and it be just as effective? Thanks

Answer
hello,

yes it is true! after every mod reset your ECU by simply disconnect the negative pole from the battery and wait for a minute or some more. Then reconnect it, start the car WITHOUT using the throttle, wait for some minutes, then drive the car normally (using full throttle, too), and in about30-40 miles the Ecu will be programmed to new values.

Jack
