Toyota: 60K maintenance - corolla 99, toyota corolla, corollas

Question
Hi,

I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla. I have to do a 60 K maintenance on it. I will really appriciate it if you can give me a list of things that have to be done so I do not endup spending a lot of money and endup doing stuff I do not need to. For example do I have to get the spark plug replaced or the Time Belt replaced. This is the first time I am doing doing the 60K maintenance and I would really appriciate if You can help me out.

Answer
Hi you will need to have timing belt replaced, have the oil changed if it hasn't been already, with a new oil filter, you may need a new air filter so the engine has more power if the filter is clogged with dirt from the road, you can replace the spark plugs but it isn't really necessary. Some corollas can go without a timing belt change till at least 100,000 km's it depends where you live in new zealand we go by k's not miles so it all depends where you come from. If you need anymore questions answered please feel free to ask. Kind regards Dean.
