Toyota: Timing belt change, tacoma double cab, repair history

Question
have a certified 01 Tacoma double cab with 65,000 mi. Local dealer recommends timing belt change at 60,000 and owners manual states 90.000. should I wait til close to 90,000 or do it now ?Truck runs fine considering the somewhat high miles for its age and this area .I dont know much of its driving/repair history other than that new front brakes were installed prior to my purchase and i installed new spark plugs . also should i replace water pump "just because".?

Answer
do what the manual says to do! i have never seen a timing belt break due to pre-mature wear! seriously! only from the water pump failing. and yes i would do the waterpump at 90,000 just to be safe and it is cheaper to do when you do the timing belt...
i also recommend you change the crank and cam seals. enjoy your tacoma! paul p.
