Toyota: Smokes from exhaust, toyota camray, 2 quarts

Question
1997 Toyota Camray 4 cyl. w/ 75,000 miles.
To explain...My wife neglected to change oil for about 6months.  I noticed a noise and checked it. The oil didn't show on dip stick.  We added about 3 quarts and the service station owner noticed sluge in and around the oil filler opening. Later I had the oil changed along with the filter.
Recently I have checked the oil level and it was down about 3/4 of a quart.  A week later I had to add 2 quarts.  The car smokes sometimes just when you accelerate from a stop. It is obvious it is burning oil.  What should I do??

Thanks in Advance

Jim

Answer
Hello,

there is only one thing you could do, bring your car to a Toyota dealer, and let them read the values of ignitions parameters into the ECU of the car, they will show if there's something wrong with the ignition. Otherwise you must open the engine and check everything to find what is worn out.

Hope this helps!
