Volkswagen: overheating!, air deflectors, tinware

Question
hello, Ive recently up graded mt beetle engine too a 1641cc twin ICT34's and some over items which there is no need to mention. ever since all this major work has been done she keeps over heating, Ive got all the tinware in place and tried out this deck-lift offs but it is still getting to crazy tempts! 300F+ and suggestions would be awesome.

Answer
Hi Ben,

To begin with, did you put the 2 little air deflectors over the bottom of the cylinders?  These are two of the most important pieces of tin on the engine.  They attach directly to bottom of the cylinder 'jugs', just above the studs that come out from the block.
