Volvo: Fuel sistem, fuel level gauge, volvo 960

I have an Volvo 960 / 1995 / 2.5 L / 6 cilinders in line. I stop the engine, with red light on,from fuel level gauge. When I want to start the engine, it das not work. I put 6 litres gas in fuel tank, the red light is turned off, but the engine do not start. My question is how can I dismonunting the rear coach to make an inspection at fuel pump and fuel filter?

Remove the truck panels. Top inner area of trunk (under the hat shielf) is a cover plate. Remove the plate and you will see the fuel sending unit. Remove all the lines unscrew the collar and carefully remove the assembly. It will take a but of twisting to find the sweet spot that will allow removal.
