Subaru Repair: egr light, egr system, drive auto

I have an 85 Brat with an egr warning light on. Where do I start the fix? Thanx and have a nice day!!!

The egr light on that vintage is alerting you to inspect & service the egr system.After you have done that there are a couple of connectors under the dash that need to be swapped to reset the light as it is odometer tripped.
