Volvo: Power booster issues on 1991 volvo 940 turbo, vacuum hose, volvo 940

Question
Power booster and master cyclinder have been replaced and bled due to hissing noise coming from brakes.  I have brake pedal when engine is not running but when engine is engaged no brake pedal.  When vacuum hose on booster is detached I have brake pedal.  Is there an adjustment somewhere on the booster or is something going on with the vacuum hose?

Answer
Judy,
No adjustments other then the linkage rod that attaches to the booster from the pedal assembly. It sounds like you have a bad booster or possible something went worng in the bleeding and there is air in the brake lines. Best thing to do for safety is tow it to a shop that knows the Volvo and have them test the car.
