Volvo: Steering Wheel Shudder/Vibration, 1999 volvo v70, volvo v70

Question
There seems to be a shudder/vibration through the steering wheel when I'm doing 110km an hour and more (not sure what that is in mph). I have all new tires fitted. Also repaired universal joint. My vehicle is a 1999 Volvo V70 XC AWD non-turbo. Regards George (Australia).

Answer
George,
You could try to rotate the tires see what changes. Make sure that even if the tire "balanced out" that there is not a slight bend in the wheels. I had an 850 I had to install new rims on because tires balanced, but wheels had some small dents. Are the wheels torqued properly. A bad front wheel hub. Bad front end parts, bushings ball joints.
