Volvo: volvo wont hold water or coolant, coolant leaks, combustion chambers

what could be the problem with my 1998 volvo v70?
it won't hold coolant it's leak any water or coolant that i try to put in. what could be the problem? it runs but water light comes on frequently i want to fix before problem gets worse. please help..

Do you see any coolant leaks under the hood or under the car? Are the front floors getting soaked with coolant? You will need to test these areas and see what and where the coolant is going. Have the system pressure tested checked for leaks under the hood and inside the car. Radiators, water pumps, hoses, heater cores can leak. If the engine has been severly overheated the head gasket could fail and coolant could be mixing with the oil or going into the combustion chambers.
