Volvo: Clutch on V50, slick conditions, engine compartment

Question
Hi there.  I have a 2007 manual flexifuel V50.  A while back I needed to get what
I believe was called a new throttle box.  Now after 2 days of bad snow I have
apparently burned my clutch.  are these 2 related.  I'm not generally a clutch
driver so I'm amazed that this can happen with two days of snow!  thanks.

Answer
Emer,
These are not related items. The throttle box is for engine acceleration, located in the engine compartment. The clutch is part of the driveline, located between the transmission and the engine.
If a standard Trans car is not driven correctly, especially under the slick conditions of the snow it very much may need a clutch. Real hard to say without a test drive.
