Land Rover Repair: Rotor replacement 03 Disco, necessary thanks, coathanger

Question
I read a post that you wrote about replacing rotors. I have changed several rotors before, never on a 4X Disco.  Is it as simple as getting it broken down, pads removed, calipers moved, and breaking the Screw loose on the Rotor?
I was told about having to remove the bearings with a puller. From what i can see it isnt necessary..Thanks in advance..

Answer
Hi Frank,

yes, it's really that simple.  I've replaced rotors on my Disco and I always clean, inspect and repack the bearings.  Why not, they are right there ... all I need is the time.

For me, hardest part is separating rotor from hub.

Don't let calipers hang by the brake line.  Use a coathanger and hook the caliper up so that no load on the brake line.

Best of luck,
