Volvo: please help!!, volvo 960, custmer

hi my name is moe, and i have a shop in milwaukee WI, so im working on a 92 volvo 960 2.9L, i put a engine, so i turn the key it crancks and it starts for 3 seconds then it shuts off, i keep doing that for like 5 min so the engine worms up a littel bit, then after that it starts!!! i know all about cars but this car!!! its takeing me down!!!and the custmer is takeing me to court if i dont fix her car!! so please help!! THANKYOU

The only thing that comes to mind is the gounds at the left motor mount. Are they making good contact and tight. Otherwise could you be using some of the sensors from the newer engine that are not compatable, or defective? I always use the sensors that are on the older engine and renew them only as needed. Your replacement engine may have come from a newer car that has a different fuel system.
