Volvo: 98 Volvo XC70, vacuum leaks, volvo xc70

Question
I tuned up my wifes XC70 before leaving for vacation with new distributor, rotor, plugs, air filter, cleaned throttle body and car ran fine for 3 days and entire 350 mile trip down but this AM car started stalling a about 10 seconds after starting quickly and effortlessly.  If I give it gas it will stay runing a bit longer but will then stall if I let off.  This also leaves a slight gas smell when I do this.  I checked my work and everything electrical seems to be intact and tight, so I am wondering if this could be a fuel filter, fuel pump or possibly MAF sensor issue? Any ideas or thoughts on this sort of delayed stalling pattern?  Thanks for any help you can provide. We are away on vacation and presently stranded until I can resolve this and I know I will get royally ripped off if I try to take it to a shop here.  Please help!

Answer
Tobin,
First have the codes read to see if there are any problems the control unit is seeing. The MAF has had a few failures, but vacuum leaks also along with the possibility of low fuel pressure or blocked fuel filter. However that I do not see a lot of, but still possible.
