Volvo: 1992 volvo 960 problem, 1992 volvo 960, vacuum leak

i have a volvo 960 with three major problems 1)bad idling and dont know whats the problem. 2)car stalls less than a minute while driving and once in reverse. 3)and many times up arrow on dash and E,S,W lights flash. hope you can help.

Poor idle could need tune up, bad injector, bad ignition coil, vacuum leak, stuck open EGR valve, low fuel pressure, blocked air or fuel filter. Stalling might go away when the engine runs better. Throttle housing could be clogged and need cleaning. Quality of fuel, carbon deposits on valves.
The flashing lights mean there is a fault in the system, have the fault codes read for the trans system repair the faults.
