Volvo: 2001 Volvo S60, independent volvo, volvo s60

Question
This car has 209k miles on it. In the past year, I have had new struts, new suspension arms replaced, new transmission fluid, new timing belt, new brake booster, new 02 sensor, and just today new plugs and coil packs.  I have spent over $3500 on this car in 12 months, but the shop (an independent Volvo shop) tells me it is a good car and they detect no engine damage and the transmission is not slipping either.  But I am worried that even more expensive repairs are coming and wonder if it is time to move onto a newer car.  Is this a good car at so many miles to keep dumping money into?  Thanks.

Answer
Lynn,
Tough call! Seems as if you have coverd all the repairs, but you never can be sure if there is major problems on the horizon. With the mileage and the possiblity that you may have a break down, I would start the search for a newer car. When you find a new car have it inspected and purchase a warranty also.
