Volvo: Immobilizer, ersen, thanks in advance

Hi
My car is a 98 s40 2.0 and having a problem for 3 months, which is an ignition problem. The car ignites after 10 or more attempt.Sometimes the problem does not occur. The keys were coded for 3 times. But saves the prob. temporary. When connected to the computer, it says IMM234 Could you please tell me what that means?

In the United States we did not get the S40's until late '99. On those cars they did not have the Immobilizer. So I do not have any information on the '98 or fault codes to look up. Is there a dealer in your area that you can show the problem to so they can run some tests and read and monitor the system? If so get the car there.
