Where is the neutral switch and how do you get to it?

It is call a gear position sensor and mounted on top of the trans on the selector shaft. It has a electrical connection to it also. It tells the control unit what gear was selected, turns on the reverse lights and allow it only to crank in the N and P poaition. A multi purpose switch.
