Volvo: Cruise control, vacuum motor, vacuum line

Question

I finally managed to intall all the parts to the system properly but the cruise doesnt engage.. I mean the vacuum pump operates when I squeeze it with my hand but not with the motor..  what might be wrong, I doubt that the vacuum motor might be bad or the cruise relay? do you agree? should I take the car to the dealer and get the system checked.. by the way there are two ports on the vacuum motor. one black and one white.. should I connect the pipe to the white but the person who sold me the kit from E-bay has told me its a vent hole and the pipe must be connected to the black port..

thanks for the help

Answer
Mete,
I think that the longer port on the bottom is the black one and that is the correct one. Go over the connections and make sure that you have everything hooked up right. Test the vacuum line to see that they hold vacuum. Apply vacuum at the port on the bottom of the vacuum motor (while disconnected) and see that the vacuum chamber is pulled back. If you feel that all is right and it still will not work, take it to the dealer.
