Volvo: engine, drivers seat, fuel pump

Question
I was driving and the car shut off and now it wont start? its getting power to the distributor, timing belt it good. I think its the fuel pump what can i do to check it and is there an easy way to remove the fuel pump if need? thanks

Answer
John,
I do not your year and modelof your car, but some pumps are easy to replace they are under the car behind the drivers seat. You can at times have someone crank the engine and feel to see if the pump works. That however will not tell you if the pump has the right amount of pressure. Some cars have a pre pump in the tank and a main pump under the car. Make sure that both are working. Some just have a pump in the tank, not so easy to replace.
